Bill Eno joined the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps in Ottawa on Aug. 19, 1940, and was transferred to CFB Borden’s RCASC School.
In 1952/53, he was initially posted to Hannover, Germany; and, subsequently transferred to Soest, Germany, with the 55 Transport Company, 27th Brigade.
He then returned to CFB Borden until being transferred to Halifax in 1958, and he completed a one-year tour of duty supporting the United Nations mission in Egypt.
Following his UN tour, he returned to CFB Borden’s RCASC School and in 1967 was transferred to CFB Petawawa, in support of the 2nd Canadian Guards. He remained there until his retirement in 1970, having reached the rank of Master Warrant Officer.
