Dad joined the RCN as a teenager in 1939. He left his home of London, Ontario, to serve his country during WW2. He sailed on five ships during his career including the Stadacona, Micmac, Magnificent, Warrior, Hochelaga and retired out of York. He served on the Atlantic and in England during WW2. He served for 25 years, before retiring at the age of 44 yrs. He met our Mom when he was awaiting the outfitting of the Maggie in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in 1948, and they were married for 55 yrs.
