Private William Guy Tallman (right) served on the front lines of the Canadian Army’s Black Watch Royal Highlander Regiment from March 1943 to March 1946. Guy was wounded on July 19, 1944, during the Battle of Verrieres Ridge in France. He received five campaign medals for his wartime service. His hometown was Merrickville, Ontario.
