My father served overseas during the Second World War. He began his service in May 1943 and served until the end of the war in 1945. He belonged to the 3rd Régiment de la Chaudière.
My father fought in France, Belgium and Germany. He was slightly wounded in the hand when a bullet knocked the gun out of his hand.
