At the age of 21, Trooper Otto Victor Feist enlisted in the Prince Albert and Battleford Volunteers (“PABV”) during the Second World War, on November 21, 1940.
On February 19, 1942, Otto enlisted in the British Columbia Regiment. Otto came from a farming family in rural Saskatchewan.
He was reported missing and presumed killed in action on August 15, 1944, during a heavy bombardment and mortar fire. His name is inscribed on the Bayeux Memorial in France.
