My name is Céline Leclerc and I’m registered for the half-marathon in person. Simon Girard is my nephew and I’d like to commemorate his passing. He was a member of the army and had mental difficulties after spending a few years in Afghanistan. He received professional help, but unfortunately, he committed suicide the day after Remembrance Day. He passed away on November 12, 2016, and his family and I will cherish the time we spent with him, even if it was a short time.
