Lt. Col. Garry Hunt CD 1934 – 2024.
Garry joined the Canadian Armed Forces upon enrolling at Royal Roads, Military College in 1952. He proudly served in the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Lght Infantry for over 35 years both in Canada and abroad. Garry was an avid athlete. He especially loved short-distance, running and cross-country skiing. Of all his many sporting accolades, his proudest was being a member of the 1957 Canadian Military Biathlon team at the International Military Ski Championships in Andermatt, Switzerland.
After finishing my first Army Run (15k Challenge), I called Garry, my dad, and he was so pleased. I am running the 15k challenge this year in his memory.
