CWO Claude Gagnon, MMM, CD (Ret’d) {1940-2023}, passed at the age of 83. He was my father and hero, and he was the reason why I follow his footsteps.
CWO Gagnon joined the Canadian Armed Forces on May 14, 1958, and retired on January 3, 1991, after a career of more than 32 years of service.
He served with the Royal 22e Regiment, twice in Germany and across Canada. He also served with the Airborne Regiment and was deployed twice with the UN in Cypress.
