Dean E. Yowell
October 15, 1928 – May 15, 2020

Dad joined the U.S. Navy as an IC (Internal Communications) electrician during the Korean War, serving aboard the USS Seminole and USS Frontier.

After being wounded in 1952 and honorably discharged, he returned to Colorado Springs and resumed his career with the telephone company, where he worked for 35 years. He loved the outdoors and was a proud member of the International Order of Rocky Mountain Goats and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 309. He served his country with pride, just as his father (and my grandfather, Edward S. Yowell, Company G, 41st Infantry) did during World War I.
