Corporal Leon O’Keefe (1972-2023) joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 2002 as an Aerospace Telecommunications and Information Systems Technician. He deployed to Afghanistan in 2006 in support of OP ATHENA. Leon left the RCAF to join NAV CANADA in 2011. Cpl O’Keefe enjoyed playing guitar, was an avid Beatles fan and placed a high value on physical fitness. Leon had fond memories of his RCAF career, and often reminisced about his military experiences. His family and friends will miss him dearly.
