I would like to enter a submission for my late Grandfather CWO William Rocky Lunan, who passed away this year on May 25th at the age of 96 years old. He enlisted in the Army on October 21st 1947 and served 37 years of service within the Royal Canadian Artillery. Some of his accomplishments to name a few, were his postings to the 1st Light Battery Para unit at 1RCHA, and also completing a UN tour in 1977, as Command Chief Warrant Officer of the Middle East, being stationed at Camp Elgala, Ismalia, Egypt. He then returned to Ottawa to his former appointment as Master Gunner.

In 1980, he was appointed NDHQ
Admin Unit CWO, which was followed by a posting in 1981 to the RCA Battle school at CFB Shilo where he held the appointment of School RSM. In 1982, he was employed in the RCA Museum and in 1984, after 37 years of service

The following day after his release; he was hired by the Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery,

as Curator for the RCA Museum.

He then retired for the second time on 30 April 1993.

As a retired Army veteran myself, and avid Army run participant since 2009. I thought this would be an honorable way to share his memory and legacy with those who loved and knew him.
