(April 10, 1922 – July 23, 2011) Veteran of the Normandy campaign during the Second World War; belonged to the Montreal Branch of the Black Watch Association, the Black Watch Association in the United Kingdom and a life member of the Warrant Officers and Sergeant’s Mess. Often represented WWII Veterans from his regiment at various commemorative ceremonies including the 80th Anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge in France. Former President of the War Amps, Quebec Chapter, who took much pride in the work he did with the War Amps’ Child Program (CHAMP). Recipient of Minister of Veterans Affairs Commendation and Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal.
