The three sons of Mr. And Mrs. William Colgate, of Weston, and their brother-in-law, PO. Wallace, are on active service, and are creating an excellent record for one family.

Staff Sgt. Boyd Colgate joined the Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps (RCOC) in September 1939, and went overseas in December, 1940. At present, he is with No.2 Salvage Unit.

Lieut. Forbes Colgate, with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps (RCASC), joined the Canadian Officers’ Training Corps (COTC) in 1929, and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in 1942. He was promoted to the rank of First Lieutenant the same year.

Sgt. William Colgate is with the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), serving as an Observer and Wireless Air Gunner.

PO. Wallace, son of Mrs. Jane Wallace and the late Frederick Wallace of Mount Dennis, is also with the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), and won his commission and wings at the Kremlin Air School, near London, Ont. Sergeant William’s wife lives at Port Credit, while the wife of PO. Wallace lives in Weston.
