Race kit updates
September 24, 2021 - Update #3
Thank you for being part of a successful 2021 Canada Army Run: Virtual! We thank you all for committing to move with us, as we continue to push forward through this challenging time. Below you will find the latest update from us, some answers to common questions, and next steps for those still impacted by our race kit delays.
Please note: if you have contacted us within the week and your question pertains to the information below, please consider this our reply.
Background:
In mid-August, the facility where race kits were being packaged and assembled experienced a roof collapse. With that, thousands of race kits were damaged or destroyed, requiring replacement items to be ordered. Additionally, much of our reserve inventory was also impacted for those who registered late.

Current Status
As of today, we have shipped approximately 75% of all race kits. We have re-ordered thousands of replacement shirts and coins, which have begun arriving in waves. As such, we have resumed shipping since our last update, based on the inventory we have, prioritizing those who registered first. We thank you for your patience.
Late Registrants
For those who registered in the final weeks, please read the above background information and current status. We thank you for your understanding.
Errors
If there was an error in your race kit, we ask that you please complete this form so we can resolve it: https://forms.gle/h5XJ1NHoL8fDpV2C6
Errors could include:
- Missing coin
- Incorrect coin
- Incorrect shirt size based on your registration selection
Please note, race kits are sent containing the product selected during registration. Due to the custom nature of orders, we cannot make exchanges at this time.
Error Replacement
The current priority is to ship race kits to those who have not yet received anything, with replacements to follow.
Product Exchanges
Due to limited inventory, we are unable to exchange products based on merchandise preferences. We are only able to correct errors made during shipping.
Shipping Delays
We are aware of some delays, including of kits in the initial shipments. Some of these identified delays have been upwards of two weeks. We continue to monitor for returned packages, and otherwise ask for your continued patience.
Returned Packages
We have received a small number of packages returned due to address-related issues (incomplete address, missing unit number, etc). We will begin contacting those participants next week, with the opportunity to provide your mailing address for a second attempt.
Thank you for your support throughout the year and for your patience and understanding during this time.
Strong, Proud, Ready!
Yours truly,
Canada Army Run

August 27, 2021 - Update #1
Dear Canada Army Run family,
As you may already be aware, a roof collapsed damaging the kits at the facility where they were being packaged and assembled. Thankfully, no one was near the affected area during the time of the incident, but this has impacted our operations. We are committed to keeping you informed as the situation unfolds, and we will be sharing updates regularly on our website and social media accounts.
What you need to know as of August 27, 2021:
- After recovering all available products, we have moved to a new location where the re-assembly of packages has restarted. All hands are on deck sorting, re-labelling and pushing kits out the door as fast as possible.
- Our team is busy working with our supplier to reorder those race kits which were water damaged due to the sprinkler system going off or crushed in the roof collapse.
- Our current delivery estimates remain the same, delays of 2-6 weeks for most participants, but we will have a much better sense of the situation in a week. We’re cautiously optimistic that those delay times will be shortened. More information coming on Friday, 3 Sep.
Thank you for your support throughout the year and for your patience and understanding during this time.
Strong, Proud, Ready!
Yours truly,
Canada Army Run

Dear Canada Army Run family, an unforeseen complication with the race kits has occurred, and we wanted to ensure that you were up to date.
Recently, a section of the roof on the facility where race kits were being packaged and assembled collapsed, damaging the kits. Thankfully, no one was near the affected area during the time of the incident. The extent of the damage is still under review, and Canada Army Run is committed to keeping registrants informed regarding delivery timelines. Our priority is the health and safety of our staff and community.
What you need to know
- Unfortunately, there will be delays in receiving your packages with current estimates of anywhere between 2-6 weeks.
- We are in the process of moving to a new location where we will re-package all items and re-order 20% stock replacements
- The team is working very hard to mitigate this setback and get race kits out to you as quickly as possible to allow for an awesome experience.
- Canada Army Run: Virtual will continue; the race goes on, though we fully recognize that this setback may impact participants’ experience and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We are committed to keeping you informed as the situation unfolds, and will provide further updates on our website and social media accounts.
