Havildar Major Rajindar Singh Dhatt MBE, fr\u00e8re de mon grand-p\u00e8re, \u00e9tait l’un des derniers soldats sikhs survivants de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Il a consacr\u00e9 sa vie non seulement au service pendant la guerre, mais aussi \u00e0 la lutte pour la reconnaissance des soldats du Commonwealth, en cofondant l’Undivided Indian Ex-Servicemen’s Association (Association des anciens combattants indiens non divis\u00e9s). Mon propre grand-p\u00e8re a \u00e9galement servi comme capitaine dans l’arm\u00e9e, et leurs histoires me rappellent le courage, le sacrifice et la r\u00e9silience qui caract\u00e9risent notre famille.
