Il a pass\u00e9 la majeure partie de sa carri\u00e8re au sein du RCCS (Communications et \u00c9lectronique). Il \u00e9tait dipl\u00f4m\u00e9 de l&rsquo;universit\u00e9 Dalhousie et a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 une mission de maintien de la paix dans la bande de Gaza en 1956.
