Elle a surv\u00e9cu au bombardement de Belfast et au blitz de Londres. Elle a pass\u00e9 sa carri\u00e8re dans l&rsquo;Aviation comme d\u00e9codeuse \u00e0 Bletchly Park et, fid\u00e8le \u00e0 sa promesse de guerre, n&rsquo;a jamais parl\u00e9 de son travail. Apr\u00e8s la guerre, elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 stationn\u00e9e \u00e0 Singapour. C&rsquo;est un simple tirage au sort qui a d\u00e9termin\u00e9 si elle serait stationn\u00e9e \u00e0 Singapour ou en Australie. Pendant son s\u00e9jour \u00e0 Singapour, elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9sign\u00e9e comme t\u00e9moin militaire lors des proc\u00e8s pour crimes de guerre qui ont eu lieu pendant la guerre. Elle est retourn\u00e9e \u00e0 Belfast apr\u00e8s 1948, o\u00f9 elle a rencontr\u00e9 mon p\u00e8re, WC Blathwayt, MRC.
