Teams

The Canada Army Run Team Competition category provides a great opportunity for individuals to compete as part of an all-military or non-military male, female or mixed male/female team in the 5K or half marathon. An individual can be a member of one team only.

Each team must be made up of five to ten runners, with at least one member of both genders represented on mixed teams. Only the top four finishers will count toward the team score, with at least one member of both genders being represented in the mixed category. Winners will be determined by the average team time of the top four finishers.

Before a team can be registered, a Team Captain must be identified. During the on-line registration process, once the Team Captain has entered his or her personal information, he/she will have the opportunity to select the “Become a Team Captain” option at the bottom of the registration page. From there, the Captain will be able to register the team’s name and select a password that other team members will use to register for the Canada Army Run. It is the responsibility of the Team Captain to contact his/her team members and pass on the team name and password.

When choosing a team name, please indicate whether the team is a civilian team or an all-military team, as well as indicate if it is Male, Female, or Mixed. For example, “Team A – Civilian” or “Team B – Military”. If some members are military and some non-military, you must select “Civilian”.

If you have already registered for Canada Army Run, but now would either like to start or join a team, you can do so through your Participant Dashboard. Simply select “Join a Team” from the dropdown menu and then enter the team’s password.

As described above, you will need to register your team’s name, select a password and let your team members know the name and password.

If you are short a team member or two, check out the Team Competition Bulletin Board to find people looking to join a team.

During Canada Army Run Weekend, you will also need to visit the Sportstats table during Race Kit Pick-up to verify final details and team membership. Teams who do not verify their information may be disqualified. All team members are responsible for picking up their own race kits.

If you are registering as a team member, please make sure you have received from the team captain the team name and password before you start the registration process. Once you have entered your personal registration information, you will have the opportunity to select “Join a Team” at the bottom of the registration form. You will be asked for the team name and password.

During Race Kit Pick-Up you are responsible for picking up your own race kit.
